Dear Birthmom

As a couple, we have always dreamed of starting a family, and we believe adoption is the perfect way to fulfill that dream. We have so much love to give, and we cannot wait to share that love with a child. We want to provide a home filled with joy, humor, and family togetherness.

We understand this may be a difficult decision for you, and we want you to know we admire your courage and strength in considering adoption. We want you to know we are committed to providing your baby with a happy, healthy, and safe environment. We will be there to support them every step of the way, and we will encourage them to pursue their hopes, dreams, and passions. We believe laughter is the best medicine, and we will make sure our home is filled with lots of it.

We also believe in the importance of family togetherness. We want to create a home where everyone feels loved, valued, and included. We want to make sure your child knows they have a place in our family and are surrounded by people who love them unconditionally.

In short, we want to create a family with your baby, and it was our pleasure for you to take the time to read about us and what we will provide for your baby. We hope you will consider us in your decision-making process. Thank you.

With love,
Adam and Lawrence

Our Story

Our story begins nearly seven years ago through the random chance of the newly popular craze of online dating. From the first night, we were off and running as quite the complementary pair of introvert meets extrovert. Lawrence was a project manager, and Adam was working in optometry. We both had no understanding of what was about to happen when our fates intertwined that day. After a few months of dating, we made it official, and that’s where the short story took a turn and our story began to unfold. Fast forward to today and we are two happily married, strongly motivated guys who are established and ready to create a family. Adam works in operations management in a remote hybrid setting, which allows for great family flexibility, and Lawrence works in management as well with a balanced schedule that allows us to spend our time doing what we love: being active and outdoors.

 Our Extended Family

Most of Adam’s extended family lived close by and were involved throughout his life. He and his younger brother were always part of big family events, having multiple cousins on each side of the family. Lawrence comes from a larger family from small-town Mississippi, with relatives also living in Upstate New York as well as California, where he eventually grew up. He is part of a family of five boys as well as having foster siblings, so naturally, Lawrence, being the oldest, was used to helping his parents and being around the dinner table with lots of loving family members to share stories about their day and be there for each other.

We have a passion for bringing our friends around the table and talking, laughing, sharing, and loving everything about what makes us all unique and really sharing in life experiences and continuing to create more of those moments that truly matter in life.

Our next step in life is to complete our family and continue to pass down that zest and love of sharing experiences with your child and helping them build a life and foundation on what we had and want to share with them.

 Our Home

We call the Centennial state our home as we relocated here just four years ago for work; it has grown on us ever since. We bought our wonderful three-bedroom home in a quiet suburban neighborhood where the most noise you’ll hear is from the children’s laughter or outdoor activities that go on when school is out. It is nestled in a perfect small-town setting with several parks, trails, and lakes within walking and biking distance. We take full advantage of our location and walk the trails with our two fur babies—Duke, our Labrador, and Tiberius, our chuggle rescue—who love to enjoy the active outdoor lifestyle that our area provides.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Since we were young, having a family of our own was what we always wanted. It wasn’t a question of if but when. Being surrounded by our families and the immense love and support we both received formed us into the men we are today and prepared us for being able to foster that experience with a child. Throughout our lives, we have both come across friends, family, and co-workers who either have experienced adoption or themselves were adopted. The more we thought about creating our family, the more their life experiences impacted us and our decision. Hearing their experiences from being adopted and the profound impact it had on their lives, we knew that was how we wanted to create our family, without question.
