Dear Birthmom

It’s hard to find the words to truly express how grateful we are for your selfless and courageous heart. If you choose us, please know that you will always be an important and cherished part of our lives. The strength it takes to make a decision like this is immeasurable, and your place in our story will forever be honored and respected.

This journey isn’t just about us — it’s about you and this precious baby. Our family loves deeply, and we will love this child with our whole hearts. We also hold deep love and gratitude for you and the incredible gift you are giving. The child will be raised in a small town proudly known as the “home of the friendly people,” where family means everything and where all of our loved ones live within just minutes of one another. He/She will grow up surrounded by love, support, and a strong village that will always have his/her back.

Marshall is adopted, and we are incredibly proud of his birth mom. We are forever thankful for the life-changing decision she made, and he holds great respect and admiration for her because of it. Her courage shaped his life in the most beautiful way.

Our Story

When we can, we love spending time with our friends, who truly feel like family to us. Whether it’s a short weekend getaway, a nice dinner out, or simply relaxing together, those moments are always meaningful and full of laughter. We make it a priority to carve out quality time both together and separately, allowing each of us to enjoy our individual passions while still growing as a couple.

Marshall works as a correctional officer, a role that has shaped him in many ways and introduced him to lifelong friendships. Through that community, he’s found a love for staying active by playing disc golf and pickleball.

Allison spends a lot of her time in her Barbershop and when she’s not there she’s enjoying her time with her dogs or traveling. Building her business has been both challenging and incredibly rewarding. Our dogs, Tater and Nash, are also a big part of our lives. We try to take them everywhere we can, letting them experience the world alongside us. Together, we value balance, connection, and making memories wherever life takes us.

 Our Extended Family

Family means everything to us, and we are incredibly blessed to come from loving, close-knit families who are deeply involved in our lives. We’re fortunate to live just minutes from Allison’s parents, and Marshall’s parents are only about a 30-minute drive away, allowing us to spend meaningful time together and stay closely connected.

Marshall’s family lives in the country in a small town about 30 minutes away. Their home feels like a little slice of heaven, with wide open land, a large pond, and plenty of animals to enjoy. It’s a place full of adventure, learning, and lifelong memories. Marshall and his brother are both adopted, and they also have an older brother. He is incredibly grateful for his parents and holds deep appreciation for his birth mom, whose courageous decision gave him the opportunity to grow up surrounded by love and support.

Allison’s family all lives in her hometown, and we now live on the same road where she grew up, right between her parents and her brother. Her family is loud, fun, and extremely close. Her mom is her best friend, she’s very much a dad’s girl, and her bond with her brother means everything to her.

 Our Home

We live in a small community proudly known as the “home of the friendly people,” where neighbors truly know and care for one another. We recently purchased our second home to ensure everything would be ready for our adoption journey. Our home is a three-bedroom, two-bath house with a two-car garage, located on the outskirts of town — offering quiet country comfort while staying connected to the community we love.

It’s the kind of place where “everybody knows your name,” and that sense of connection means so much to us. Our future child would attend a public school in the city district, with average class sizes ranging from 50 to 120 students per grade.

Our town has a charming downtown with local shops and restaurants and is within an hour of Evansville, Indiana, and about 1.5 hours from St. Louis.

 Our Journey to Adoption

Marshall loves duck hunting and spending time outdoors, and being in nature has always been a big part of his life. What began as family traditions have grown into time we now enjoy together, and those quiet moments outside are where we feel most connected and at peace.

The experiences we value most are the ones we share. Even our vacations reflect that, whether we’re fishing and thrifting in Florida, exploring Michigan, or traveling somewhere new. We always try to choose trips that reflect both of our interests.
Starting my own barbering business was a huge adventure we took together. It has become a meaningful part of our life, built on passion, support, and gratitude, and it never feels like just a job.
