We have each wanted to raise a child since we were both teenagers. We met with the knowledge of this, and have built a life both of us are proud to include a child in. We cannot think of a decision we have made in the recent past that was not meant with a child in mind.
We can confidently say your child will never have a need unmet. We promise to honor your gift by allowing your child to become their own person, find their passions, and reach their dreams. We have all the time needed for loving an infant, helping with homework, sleepovers, carpools, family trips, school plays, and everything that comes with being active and engaged caregivers. We will raise this child in an environment of laughter, love, and gratitude.
We are so excited to share this life with a child, go on adventures, and know that even dull moments can be fun. This child will be loved every second of their life and know fully well the love that you have been able to give them as you made your plan for adoption. Our Story
Zach is a dietitian in his full-time job, but his passion is cooking. He teaches cooking classes at the local community center a few times a year and is always the go-to caterer for neighborhood parties. Zach loves exploring local markets, going on road trips, and hitting the beach. In his spare time, he is a wood worker, grows food in our garden, and plays on a local billiards team with a group of his friends.
Toby is a landscape architect in his full-time job, and nature is his thing. On any given day, he could be bird watching, hitting up local plant nurseries, and laboring in the back yard. Toby loves reading, traveling to other countries, and going into the mountains. In his spare time, he watches documentaries, grows plants from seeds in our basement, and practices yoga.
We are both full of passion and energy. We spend a lot of time sharing each other’s hobbies and believe in taking advantage of all that life has to offer, having fun along the way.

Our Extended Family
There are so many people in our life that are ready to love this child! We are blessed to still have both sets of our parents deep in our lives. Toby has a sister who is married, and they are working on a child of their own. Zach has very large extended families on both sides with whom he maintains close contact and sees at annual family reunions.
We also have long-time friends who we consider family. Both of us have friends we have had for over 20 years still close in our lives. In our local area, we have a large group of friends we go camping, attend concerts, and have bonfires with - even during the week. We have built a strong community in our neighborhood, where people look out for and protect each other.
There is no single event where family is not present, from birthday parties to backyard BBQs. No matter what we do, being with family makes the experience better.

Our Home
We live on a quiet tree-lined street, minutes from a large city, in a single-family home among a small diverse community. We have told our neighbors about our hopes to build a family through the gift of adoption, and they could not be more excited to have another kid on the block! We love our neighborhood because everything is so walkable – family restaurants, parks, a swimming pool, and even a miniature golf course. There are kid-friendly events year-round, from street festivals and holiday showcases to book readings and live music. We have two senior corgis who are often found accompanying us on walks throughout our neighborhood and local “downtown.” They have lots of experience with kids of various ages and are ready to be brothers!
Our Journey to Adoption
We have found an undeniable partnership in the love we have shared for over 13 years across 4 states in 2 time zones! There are so many things we think is awesome about the other – Zach loves that Toby has seen over 800 different bird species and takes him to explore nature, and Toby loves how much Zach enjoys helping other people and building community.
Through shared exploration, both of us have learned and grown so much together and as individuals. We love adventure. Neither of us say “no” to many things, and we both are so excited about the opportunity to share our lives, our love, and our families with your child.
