We are Alejandro and Emmanuel, and we fell in love over ten years ago. Since the beginning of our relationship, we have shared the dream of building a loving family together. If we are fortunate enough to welcome your child into our lives, they will grow up in a home filled with love, laughter, security, and encouragement. Family is very important to us, and your child would also be surrounded by a caring extended family and close friends who will cherish them deeply.
We hope to raise a child who is kind, curious, and respectful of others and the world around them. We love traveling and look forward to sharing new experiences, cultures, and adventures together. At home, we enjoy spending time in nature through gardening, watching sunsets, and raising butterflies. We will always encourage your child to discover their own passions, dream freely, and feel unconditionally loved every single day.

Our Story
Our story began in 2015 when we met through a dating app, and after days of conversations, we met for brunch. From the very first moment, there was an undeniable connection. As we spent more time together, we discovered not only shared interests, but also the values and dreams that would shape our future together. Emmanuel fell in love with Alejandro’s joyful spirit and the way he makes everyone feel welcomed and valued. Alejandro was drawn to Emmanuel’s compassionate heart, gentle nature, and deep capacity to love. Seeing the care Emmanuel gave to his beloved dog, Luna, made Alejandro certain he would one day be a wonderful father.
Over the years, our families embraced one another as their own, strengthening our dream of building a loving family together. In 2018, during a trip to the Philippines, Emmanuel surprised Alejandro with a sunset proposal on the beautiful waters of Boracay. We were married in March 2021 and have since built a life filled with love, laughter, respect, and unwavering support for one another.

Our Extended Family
Family is at the center of our lives, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have a large, supportive, loving, and close-knit family that spends a great deal of time together. Our home in South Florida is often the gathering place where everyone comes to relax, celebrate, and create lasting memories. On any given weekend, you can usually find nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends laughing together in the pool, playing in the backyard, or filling the house with energy and joy. Alejandro is often outside by the grill preparing his favorite smoked dishes, while Emmanuel enjoys cooking in the kitchen for everyone to share.
Some of our favorite moments are the simple ones—sitting around the kitchen counter with Alejandro’s mother and grandmother as they tell family stories. Emmanuel’s parents and siblings love spending time outdoors, whether camping at one of the Florida springs or sitting at our patio table playing board games.
The holidays are especially meaningful to us. We host Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Easter each year, filling our home with family, friends, love, and tradition. For New Year’s, we travel to North Carolina to spend time with Emmanuel’s sister and her children, enjoying hikes, snow sports, and time together in the mountains.

Our Home
Creating a loving home for a child has been at the heart of our adoption journey from the very beginning. Three years ago, we found a home where we could grow together as a family—a warm, welcoming place in a diverse, family-oriented community. We are within walking distance of the district’s best schools, surrounded by parks, playgrounds, and beautiful Everglades sunsets. Our lakefront neighborhood is often filled with children fishing and playing outdoors. Emmanuel has lovingly designed our 4-bedroom home with a mid-century modern and Scandinavian style, while Alejandro has focused on making it practical and comfortable for everyday family life. We also share our home with Kai, our gentle and affectionate rescue dog, who adores children and can’t wait to share cuddles and companionship with your child.
Our Journey to Adoption
Beyond our love for travel and experiencing new cultures, we enjoy creating a joyful and meaningful life at home. Scuba diving is a special part of Alejandro’s life. When Emmanuel met Alejandro, he fell in love with the ocean and became his official scuba buddy! We enjoy exploring beautiful dive sites in South Florida year-round, especially when we catch our own fresh seafood for dinner.
Emmanuel expresses his creativity through interior design, always working on projects that make our spaces feel warm, peaceful, and welcoming for family and friends. Gardening is another passion we share. We care for a hydroponic garden filled with herbs and vegetables we use in our cooking, along with fruit trees, flowering plants for pollinators, and an abundance of houseplants that bring life and beauty into our home.
